Dr. Joseph Layug, M.D. is a native of Baltimore, MD. Upon completion of his orthopedic surgery residency at Georgetown University Medical Center, Dr. Layug began his private practice in 1995. Present hospital affiliations include Laurel Regional Hospital and Howard County General Hospital. Dr. Layug has served as the Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Laurel Regional Hospital since 2003.
Dr. Layug maintains a general orthopedic surgery practice with a special interest in sports medicine and arthroscopy. He presently volunteers as the team physician for Reservoir High School in Howard County, MD. Dr. Layug has been appointed to the Columbia Association Medical Advisory Board which serves to improve the health and fitness of the Columbia, MD community and its members.
