Specialist Referrals

If your health plan requires that you have a referral to see an orthopedic specialist it is the patient’s responsibility to bring their referral with them the day of their appointment. If you have a question as to whether your insurance requires a referral for specialist office visits, you should contact the member services number on the back of your insurance card. Failure to bring your referral will necessitate rescheduling your appointment. Per your health plan guidelines, we are not authorized to see any patient without an appropriate referral.
